Objective:Constipation is a common disease or a symptom in clinic.lts morbidity is very high. Doctors of TCM used to treat the disease based on syndrome differentisation of constipation got a more curative effect. Biofeedback therapy is a new bio-behavioral therapy which has the advantage of relatively non-invasive, easy to put up with, low-cost, no hospitalization, etc.The aim of this issue is to assess the clinical efficacy of modified fluid-increasing decoction combined with biofeedback in the treatment of chronic functional constipation of yin-deficiency and dry-intestine, and make the most advantage of the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and advanced scientific technology, in order to find a effective way to treat constipation. Methods:The collected 90chronic functional constipation (CFC) patients (male 33 cases, female 57cases) who meet the study requirements were randomly divided into 3 groups:modified fluid-increasing decoction combined with biofeedback treatment group (Ⅰgroup) 30 cases, simple biofeedback treatment group (Ⅱgroup) 30 cases, pure modified fluid-increasing decoction treatment group (Ⅲgroup) 30 cases.4 weeks for a course, a total of one course of treatment. Other related drugs are forbidden principally during the trial period. Results:The total effective rate of I group was 86.70%, while the total effective rate of theⅡgroup was 70.00%, the total effective rate of theⅢgroup was 63.70%. There was a significant difference (P<0.01) by statistical analysis among the results of groupⅠ, groupⅡand groupⅢ, TheⅠgroup has a highest total effective rate among the three groups, which is also having obvious advantages on the remission of accompany symptom such as anxious, insomnia, and loss of appetite etc than that of the groupⅡand groupⅢ.Conclusion:There was a significantly enhanced of overall effect of the modified fluid-increasing decoction combined with biofeedback to treat the yin-deficiency and dry-intestine constipation which indicate that the combination of two treatment methods exerted greater advantages. The use of modified fluid-increasing decoction combined with biofeedback can improve the effect of alleviation the accompany synptom of anxious, insomnia, loss of appetite and other symptoms. The modified fluid-increasing decoction combined with biofeedback treatment, biofeedback treatment and simple modified fluid-increasing decoction treatment are all security, and no adverse events happened. Modified fluid-increasing decoction combined with biofeedback treatment worthy of clinical application.
