A Study Of The Types Of Uyghur Folk Legends

Uyghur folk legend is one of the important part of folk literature. It is ourancestors in the process of living practices crystallization of the wisdom, as theartistic quality of records were handed down by mouth from generation togeneration. Its content is extensive reflects the people’s life in all aspects andtraditional national spirit of the Uyghur people. It is in the cognitive anddemonstration, world view, the philosophy thought, religious belief, customs,etiquette, moral, ethnology, etc have become a valuable information.In the history of human society in different stages, with rich imaginationancestors created colorful folk legends. These legends from the important featuresof all times, more substantial one, blend the real historical events and the greathistorical figures. Ancestor take these events and to combine together with his ownviews, attitudes, understanding and imagination to the characteristics of the figureimage comes out the vivid expression. And their activity background with thenational and local color, time and space characteristic show clearly.This thesis is given priority to folk literature theory knowledge, on the basis ofthe “Three sets of integration”,“Folk literature encyclopedia” and “Bulak”,“Miras” journal published more than350legends is analyzed.This thesis includes following aspects:In the introduction, discuss the aim and importance of this study and the researchsituation, the existing problems and indicate the study method.In the first chapter, mainly expound the meaning of the legend, the relationshipand difference between legends and myths. And analyzed Uyghur folk legendenvironment and present situation.In the second chapter is mainly discussed about the Uyghur folk legendclassification according to the classification principles and give an example.In the third chapter is mainly talked about the folk legend narrative structure,language characteristics, image design features and it take various performancemeans.
