The thought of Nietzsche has affected the western world for more than onecentury in literature, art, philosophy and other fields. Nietzsche’s theories involvemany domains and the stratification planes,like his date god Bacchus theory,superhuman philosophy,artistic metaphysics,tragedy world outlook,esthetic life,will to power,artistic physiology and so on.The researchers study on him are allaround the world and they all know the significance of Dionysus in the thought ofNietzsche. But the results of those existing researches have their own limitations.This paper began with the studying on the birth and symbol of Dionysus, andtries to analyze how Dionysus became an important one in the thought of Nietzsche,how Dionysus became the main line in his whole thought, and make sure the internalrelations with Zarathustra and superman.What is the real symbol of Dionysus? In fact, Dionysus is always the main line inhis whole system, and he is also the root for Nietzsche’s thought. To study onDionysus ,we need to check the Greek culture and mythology . The mythology canhelp us to make clear about the real face of Dionysus and Apollo. In theory ofNietzsche, Dionysus and Apollo is geminate concept. They elucidate two originalpowers of life human face to world. They all demonstrate life powers and the powerof Dionysus is the main. Also, Dionysus is the main line in Nietzsche’whole works,and who is the real thing we need to catch.Then, how can we come to grasp his aesthetic thought and his veins of thought?The key is Dionysus. Though his relations with Zarathustra and superman, thesignificance of Dionysus comes up. And that will help us to Nietzsche’s thought.Besides, the aesthetic meaning of Dionysus also brings us some advices aboutAesthetical existence.
