Notional word grammaticalization is a common phenomenon in the development of theChinese characters, and as one of the important ways to contribute to the development ofChinese characters polysemy,has always been the concern of linguists.Especially the1990swhen grammatical research boom lift, it was again put on the agenda. But most researches arediscussed in short essay or only a few words as example, and concluded a single regularityconclusion in the end. This paper is through the18words example by analyzing its throw thecontext, rich in previous research results obtained based on the comprehensive and objectiveconclusion. The chapter points as follow:The first chapter is an overview of the of research grammaticalization, to analyze thebackground of and pointed out the inadequacies of the previous studies, and I want to studiesthe feasibility of grammaticalization, and make a position for article angle. Also I list whatappears in the context, such as the concept of selection.The second chapter is the focus of the article.As to which the monosyllabic functionwords selected, I have both of two conditions: First, these function words must becommonly used function words in modern Chinese spoken or written language; Second, thegrammaticalization course of virtual function words must be has emerged or has beencompleted in the oracle bones and inscriptions time.I divided18function words vocabularyinto four categories, namely, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and “JianCi”. I try to analyzeword by word analysis of its usage in oracle bone inscriptions, and to sort out its virtualcontext of grammaticalization.The third chapter is to explore the laws of grammaticalization, the chapter is a summaryof the second chapter and theory sublimation. It contains grammaticalization phenomenacauses, conditions, transformation pathways and features of grammaticalization and so. Thischapter is also a concentrated express of the previous theory summary.The fourth chapter is the epilogue part, mainly summarizes the desirable part, and theshortcomings.
