| Journal, as a type of media, has played an important role in disseminating Chongqing Anti-Japanese War poems. However, the study on such role is lagging behind and is yet to be further explored. From the macro-perspective of journal media field, this thesis examines the inherent relations between the formation of journal media field and the prosperous creation of Chongqing Anti-Japanese War poems, and the influence of such field and its substantive factors on the creation and dissemination of those poems. The main contents are as follows:The Introduction takes the study of journal media field as a starting point to illustrate the value and significance of researching the journal field about Chongqing Anti-Japanese War poems.The First Part of the main body elaborates the historical background against which the journal media field about Chongqing Anti-Japanese War poems has come into being, the relative independence that the journal media has enjoyed, and the competition for pages of journals that exists between Chongqing Anti-Japanese War poetry and modernist poetry. By so doing, it uncovers the internal relations between the forming of the journal media field about Chongqing Anti-Japanese War poems and the booming of such poems.Adopting a micro-perspective, the Second Part analyzes three substantive factors of the journal field, namely, the editor, the author, and the reader. The thesis discusses the respective role of each factor in the journal field and the impact of each on the language, the content and the form of the Anti-Japanese War poems.The Third Part expounds the journal field and the transmission of the Anti-Japanese War poems. It mainly involves the strengths and weaknesses of the journal field itself and the dissemination practice of the poems.The Conclusion points out the study’s shortcomings as a result of both subjective and objective factors. Yet the research, taking as a whole, has its own merit. |
