The Differences Between Teenagers With Different Types Of Aggression In Empathy：an Event-related Brain Potential Study

This study used the event related potential technical to investigate the differencesbetween teenagers with different types of aggression in empathy: At first, theteenagers were divided into three groups—direction aggression group，indirectaggression group and normal group—by the Direct and Indirect Aggression Scale(DIAS) and Class Play Questionnaire (CPQ); Then, we used the Pain stimuluspictures and neutral stimulate pictures to cause three groups’ pain empathy, at thesame time, we recorded their brain electrical data; At last, we analysed the N2and theP300composition of their brain electrical data in different stimulate types.Results: in the N2composition, main effect between groups was significantbetween direct attack group and normal group; Main effect between groups andstimulating type main effect were significant between relationship attack group andnormal group; Main effect between groups was not significant between direct attackgroup and relationship attack group, but stimulating type main effect was significant.In the P300composition, main effect between groups was not significant betweendirect attack group and normal group, but stimulating type main effect was significant;Main effect between groups was not significant between relationship attack group andnormal group, but stimulating type main effect was significant; Main effect betweengroups and stimulating type main effect were significant between direct attack groupand relationship attack group.In conclusion, stimulate materials for three groups caused empathy reaction;Emotional empathy ability and Cognitive empathy ability of normal group are veryhigh; Emotional empathy ability is low but Cognitive empathy ability is high inrelationship attack group; Emotional empathy ability and Cognitive empathy ability ofdirect attack group are very low compared with normal group.
