A New Form Of Classical Poetry Singing---an Inquiry Into Jiang Jiaqiang’s Chinese Classical Poetry Singing

Taking Mr. Jiang Jiaqiang’s Chinese classical poetry singing as research project, this thesis aims to make specific discussion on and research for Mr. Jiang’s dealing with traditional singing techniques, creation of poetic atmosphere, and adoption of related artistic disciplines during singing Chinese classical poetry. And through the research, I fell that Mr. Jiang Jiaqiang has a strong sense of responsibility for the improvement of national vocal music and the establishment of national vocal music system which has also been recorded in the thesis.This thesis is made up into three chapters:Chapter one is an introduction for Mr. Jiang and Chinese classical poetry singing. This mainly includes the brief profile of his artistic singing career, summarization of the evolution of Chinese classical poetry singing, review of its artistic characteristics and analysis of the cultural and artistic value of Chinese classical poetry songs.Chapter two focuses on the characteristics of Mr. Jiang’s singing of classical poetry feathered by his accurate understanding and dealing with traditional vocal techniques including natural pronunciation and breathing, his creation of singing conception and absorption of corresponding artistic disciplines.Based on the recording of interview with Mr. Jiang, chapter three concentrates on the value of establishing Chinese national vocal music system. This chapter reviews Mr. Jiang’s discussion about the development of Chinese national vocal music ever since the establishment of our country and his unremitting exploration of and prospects for the establishment of Chinese national vocal music discipline, from which the practical meaning of this study to the development of Chinese national vocal music is revealed.
