Chinese classical poetry songs are excellent traditional music culture of the Chinese nation,a song form with classical poetry as lyrics,and a perfect combination of music with literature.With elegant lyrics,rich connotations,diverse styles and profound artistic conception,Chinese classical poetry songs sound enjoyable aesthetically and edify people culturally.Along with the introduction of the Western composing skills and art song genres since the 1920s,composers have actively explored how to combine the Western artistic form with Chinese national musical culture,and how to inherit and develop Chinese traditional music culture,thus bringing a large number of excellent classical poetry songs into being.In recent years,a growing number of musicians have turned their attention to the traditional poetry songs,and created lots of outstanding poetry works,showing a good momentum of development.These classical poetry songs are very popular with audience since they not only accord with the public's aesthetic and moral standards,but also reflect the composers' cultural accomplishments and literary emotional needs.Owing to their aesthetic artistic conception and artistic charm,Chinese classical poetry songs have attracted a great many singers,for whom the singing of Chinese classical poetry songs can not only help improve their musical and cultural accomplishments,but also extend their artistic vision,increase their music sensibility and enhance their vocal skills.This paper will be divided into five major parts to study Chinese classical poetry songs.Part 1 presents an analysis of Chinese classical poetry songs' contemporary connotations,specifically involving the concept,classification,aesthetic contents and cultural implications of Chinese classical poetry songs.As a song form with classical poetry as lyrics,Chinese classical poetry songs contain Chinese national culture in their lyrics,music and instruments,so they can be divided into two categories:the poetry songs going with the music scores created by the ancients and the classical poetry art songs created in modern and contemporary times.In these classical poetry songs there are aesthetic contents such as poetry beauty,beauty of artistic conception,beauty of melody and affectivc beauty,as well as poets' intrinsic thoughts and emotions,the characteristics of the times,scenery and culture,and poets' outlook on life.Part 2 presents an analysis of Chinese classical poetry songs' artistic characteristics,mainly involving the perfect combination of poetry with music,the concord of music with rhythm,and the aesthetic artistic conception of "HE ".Chinese classical poetry is rhythmic and tonetic.When composing songs,composers usually try their best to recapture the tune of poetry in music to perfectly combine poetry with music melody and rhythm,and materialize the aesthetic artistic conception of "HE" emotionally and musically.Part 3 gives a summary and analysis of Chinese classical poetry songs' composing features,mainly involving melody,rhythm,harmony,musical structure,modality and tonality,and accompaniment.Their melody is in accord with the tune of classical poetry,and poets5 they become lyrical by taking advantage of a scene to express emotions or expressing feelings directly,endowing the Chinese traditional music culture with a national character.The rhythm is arranged in accordance with the poetry nules,to materialize rhythmicity and make rhythm harmonious with the poetry rules.Harmony plays a role in songs.Especially,it contributes to emotional expression and artistic conception construction,looking distinctly colorful and poetry.Structurally,the songs and poetry add to each other's splendor,and in terms of mode,Chinese style is combined song.Particularly,he should sing by controlling his breath and breathe by following the rhythm;pronounce clearly and sing according to the words with clear articulation and a mellow and foll tune,to express the poetry emotion clearly;sing wonderfully with a silver voice and deep feeling by well controlling his voice,to create an artistic conception in his voice;pay attention to accompaniment to form a tacit interaction and dialogue with instrument executant,to create a profound artistic conception.Part 5 presents makes a practical exploration on Chinese classical poetry songs.It primarily analyzes the qualities essential for the singers of Chinese classical poetry songs,as well as the importance and significance of the singing of Chinese classical poetry songs.This part reveals that the singers of Chinese classical poetry songs should have not only consummate singing skills and rich emotions,but also high literary and artistic accomplishments,profound thoughts and poet's
