Music appreciation teaching is basic in music teaching, and it is anindispensable part of the teaching activities. The main teaching contentsare aesthetic education, training students’ healthy aesthetic tastes andfeelings, and improving their ability of appreciating the beauty of music.It links the artistic values in the teaching of music culture closely with themusic aesthetic teaching. In the vocal music teaching, vocal musicteaching is an important way of teaching to improve the students’ vocalmusic aesthetic appreciation. This paper aims to strengthen the researchon China’s national opera singing through the appreciation teachingresearch on opera "the ancient city of spring breeze fights wildfires". Thisarticle mainly analyzes the background of the opera, the embodiment ofthe emotion and aria. This article uses analysis of text and PuLi to explorethe whole opera creation and singing characteristics.There are four parts in this paper. The first part introduces the vocalmusic teaching, which leads to the research purpose in this paper. Themain body of the paper contains an overview of the opera "the ancientcity of spring breeze fights wildfires", the character art features andsinging as well as the problems in the practice of teaching that need to bepaid attention to. On the analysis of describing each aria music image andthe character psychology, the author use the summary of macroscopic andmicroscopic explanation, to make the students accurately grasp the character image, also for the singer to sing opera aria by understandingthe creation background of the opera, also to provide a reference forteachers on the opera appreciation teaching.
