| The author has carried out the process of developing a press conferenceinterpreting corpus with the guidance of Using Corpora: A Practical Coursebook. Thetargets of constructing this corpus are to benefit interpreting learners and to gainexperience in corpus construction. The report has recorded the whole constructionprocess, and problems with preciseness of resource collection, transcription qualitycontrol, corpus function, alignment methods, and alignment levels are raised inresource collection and alignment processes and settled. Four levels of alignment arepracticed to analyze their advantages, disadvantages and application conditions. It issuggested to revise the Transcribed text to create an Adjusted text and provide bothtexts to interpreting learners, which will increase the utility value of anlearner-oriented interpreting corpus. |
