Study On The Dazu Rock Carvings Of Feitian And Contemporary Dance Image Reconstruction

Both the Feitian reliefs of Dazu Rock Carvings and the Feitian frescoes in theMogao Grottoes in Dunhuang are undoubtedly important materials to dance workers forresearch and recreation of artistic language. Most of the Feitian images in performingarts are borrowed from Feitian images in Dunhuang, which have been studied detailedlyand thoroughly. However, the research of Feitian image of Dazu Rock Carvings is verylittle, which can hardly reflect the status of the development of the arts, music and danceof those days. Compared with the frescoes in the Mogao Grottoes and the images inWestern Regions, the Feitian reliefs of Dazu Rock Carvings have great differences,which stemmed from time, space, society, folk belief and other multiple factors. Fromthese factors, we can find the real inner logic which affects the Feitian statues, spiritualconnotations and aesthetic trends. Taking this as an opportunity, we can think moredeeply about the future of the Feitian, the important symbol of Chinese culture and arts.Feitian images are important driving force and clues to artists. From the Feitian statues,we can feel the beauty of the dance form, grooves and essence. Murals’ forms areunreservedly borrowed throughout the dance creation process. How to change thisseemingly static dance to vivid dance image on stage is the value of our study.Basing on the dance, the dance workers have the responsibility and obligation toinherit and carry forward this important cultural heritage. The dance workers should notonly provide a feasible path to the temporality, territoriality and diversity of Feitiandance with a more meticulous observation and broader vision, but also give the mostdistinctive cultural security to Feitian and inherit Chinese extensive and profound arts.
