It not only ended since theWestern Jin Dynasty since the war situation, make people live a stable life; but alsoduring this period, due to the promotion of the social environment, the ruling class ofthe Northern Wei Dynasty, based on inheriting the Sixteen Kingdoms periodachievement of Buddhism, Buddhism and Buddhist art has obtained the fastdevelopment, has made great achievements: as built by the nobility of the RoyalShanxi Yungang Grottoes and by local officials and landlords combined chiselQingyang North Temple grottoes were built in this time.North Temple Grottoes is located in Ministry of Qingyang city in southern Gansuand Jingchuan, South Cave Temple together with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang,Tianshui Maiji Mountain Grottoes, Yongjing Bingling temple known as four majorGrottoes in Gansu,North grotto Temple grottoes and caves by ditch Temple1.5kmsouth of Hua Bao ya, Shi Daopo, cliff grottoes and the east coast1.5km north of theLou Di Cun, cave1of five parts. It was dug in the Northern Wei Dynasty, WesternWei, Northern Zhou, Sui after several, Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty have the statuescave, its statues are stone, rich in relics, which embodies the people in Longdong areaof great ancient Buddhist art. North Temple Grottoes cave complex of the NorthernWei Dynasty Kukan consists of seven seats, of which the bottom Village No.1and165Ku of the most representative.This paper will start with the evolution of geographical environment, historicalNorth grotto caves, the art of different periods of the Northern Wei grottoes, summedup the North grotto cave complex of the Northern Wei Dynasty Buddha statues themeand artistic style, and from the cave form, theme, and Yungang Grottoes as a contrast,analyse its contact with the same period Yungang Grottoes, showing its uniquehistorical value and academic value.
