| English education of Radio and TV University is a kind of adult education that isdifferent from other forms of that. Students’ learning level is not good because the entrancerequirements are low, most of the students have poor English which they don’t have access tofor many years, and they have little interest in English learning. Vocabulary is an importantpart and foundation of English teaching and learning. Modern English as the world’s largestlanguage vocabulary has reached about2000000words, so improving English learning effectcannot do without vocabulary teaching. But as can be found in the practical teaching ofRTVU adult English vocabulary, vocabulary learning has become a major obstacle tostudents’ learning interest and effect. Therefore, what effective teaching methods can beadopted to improve the students’ English level and learning effect has become the big problemthat university English teachers and academics need to face and solve according to the specialsituation of adult English learning. Based on that, this article discusses the study of Englishvocabulary teaching methods and more importantly, its focus is that the musicality of Englishis introduced into English teaching. The whole essay is divided into five parts in Englishvocabulary teaching systematic. The first part of the paper briefly states the background,purpose, methods, framework, and research at home and abroad. Then music-related theoriesof English are summarized, including the concept, music response characteristics of humanbeings, current situation of RTVU adult learning English vocabulary, and English music inthe role and necessity of the application of RTVU adult English vocabulary teaching. Next,based on the concrete empirical cases in teaching English Music utility argument in RTVUadult English vocabulary teaching, this part outlines a case study method and content, withquestionnaire survey method to understand the current problems of TV adult Englishvocabulary teaching and analyzes the main reasons for the problems in the teaching andfeasibility of application of music in RTVU adult English Vocabulary Teaching, puts forwardspecific strategies used in music of RTVU adult English vocabulary teaching, namely a classusing music vocabulary teaching methods: one is to design an English material of music, theother is to use songs to develop music vocabulary teaching strategies and use lexical suffixesrhyme to develop English music teaching. In comparison, another group still adoptstraditional methods. After that, the thesis teaching case compares and summarizes the resultsbefore and after the practice, and then puts forward improvement strategies for teaching and learning. The last part is an analysis of the innovation points and deficiencies. Through thisresearch, the writer intends to come up with a new way of English teaching, and emphasizesthe function of English vocabulary with "entertainment" in order to arouse students’ Englishlearning interest and improve teachers’ teaching effect on English vocabulary, ultimatelyproviding theoretical and practical reference for effective method of TV University Englishvocabulary teaching. |
