The objective of this paper is to study the soprano aria of19th century Italiancomposer Vincenzo Bellini’s opera" I Capuleti e i Montecchi" and conduct an analysis on the artistic features of this work. This paper begins with Bellini’s opera creation and singing style, and then elaborates the creation background and musical structure of the opera " I Capuleti e i Montecchi". It analyzes the hostess Juliet’s image-building in depth, meanwhile, two arias,"Oh, how many times I prayed to God" and "death, I do not fear", are analyzed in detail in combination with my own singing experience. The aim is to make the majority of music lovers have a deep understanding of this opera and provide a reference for vocal music singers at the same time. Moreover, it is possible to anticipate that the soprano could grasp singing skills and style and interpret Bellini’s vocal works better after reading it.
