Further Depiction Of Practical Cognitive Process And Its Dilemma On Epistemic Logic

As a result of the development under the background of cognitive science, epistemic logic nowadays turns into a hot field of logic research. In some research field such like philosophy, computer science, game theory. Epistemic logic is widely used to depict the knowledge or ignorance state of subject. For the importance of epistemic logic accumulate, that makes us to rethink the reliability and comprehensiveness when use epistemic logic to depict cognitive process.During This article, on the foundation of existing research, I summary and promote the research of the dilemma when use epistemic logic to depict practical cognitive process. At least three fields of dilemma as follow:First, the dilemma of Semantics which engender controversy when use some basic epistemological concept. Consider the divergence of the research of epistemic logic and epistemology. The foundation of semantics is unstable.Second, the dilemma of axiom selection originates from the considerations of the subject’s cognitive ability. This dilemma includes mounts of problem, such like Logic Omniscience. Also, the development of computer science brings change to the range of subject. Logician find it’s necessary to clarify the practical cognitive ability of subject.Third, dilemma remains when transform nature language to formal language. Either in meaning formal or pragmatic has difficulty to achieve the transform. Otherwise, cognitive operator has difference expression between the natural language and formal language. As a summary, Non-formalization and non-deductive could be a possible research for epistemic logic. Besides, pay close attention to the research achievement of the axiomatic theory of truth and dynamic logic would be helpful.For the research of the depiction of practical cognitive process and its dilemma on epistemic logic still not comprehensive, it could be significant to do some research from this angle.
