XiaoTing Sichuan Opera Performance Art Analysis

Sichuan OPera is quite a typical type of OPera which is popular in Sichuan and Chongqing and some other places. GaoQiang is the most various one and it has the most plentiful change in music. XIAOTING, as the winner of the first Plum Blossom Prize is the outstanding person who is good at performing Sichuan Opera. This thesis use YuZanJi which is the magnum opus of XIAOTING as the entry path and then mainly discuss Sichuan Opera GaoQiang and XIAOTING himself. It is based on field study and synthesizes previous experience. And then states through many different aspects such as explained, literature, musicology and aesthetics. By comparing the way to expand the research, By table and text presents the combination of the specific form of music and extracted the xiaoTing’s artistic characteristics in his performance. Looking forward to the development of the thesis have the effect of data reference for later researchers.
