Today, the world economy and culture are developing at a high speed. It is nolonger possible touch with reality in the fertile ground for complacency heavenlypowers, and to be complacent in touch with reality does not set the arrogance. It isalso cannot be complacent in the monopoly superpower. Either salvation of Orientalculture or Eurocentrism have become history. A new situation of cultural exchangeand integration appears around the world. With the improvement of China’s openness,a large number of foreign TV series, such as Korean dramas, US TV series, Japanesedramas, Thai dramas are flocking to Chinese market, promote the relationshipbetween the foreign culture and Chinese culture. Among them, especially the Koreandramas and US TV series are the most typical. With eastern culture characteristics ofKorean dramas and bearing the weight of the US TV series of universal significanceto western culture set off a popular fashion in domestic.In the trend, young people became the important accepting groups because oftheir unique vitality and passion. The beauty and freshness of Korean dramas, and theincentive and difference of US TV series met the needs of young people. But weshould clearly recognize that the input of Korean dramas and US TV series in theyouth to bring different audio-visual enjoyment at the same time, domestic culturalenvironment for teenagers have an impact. Korean dramas and US TV series representthe east and the west different cultural forms. They along with the globalization tidedin our country, and obtained good effect. This is a kind of cultural exchange andcollision. This paper will analyze the influence which the television transmission hasbrought to young people, and analyze the reason why could the effects happen. So wecan in part to the whole concept, explore the impact of globalization on our culture.Multicultural globalization contributed to the pattern will produce what kind ofimpact on young people? What does the different influence have on the young peoplecome from different dramas? How does this difference come from? There are the keypoints of this paper. We will start from the Korean dramas and US TV series in recentyears in domestic popular phenomenon, to display Korean dramas and US TV series’rise and fall of rheology in China. Then lock young people, the special viewers, asinvestigation objects. We will analyze the different effects base on comparativeresearch and case study method. These TV cases, such as Dae Jang Geum, The BigBang Theory, Prison Break, can prove our conclusion. However, on the analysis of the phenomenon is superficial. We must be traced back to analyze the reasons of thedifferences. This paper will combine the connotation of something different ofbackgrounds and cultures, specifically examine the reasons for the audience from avariety of angles, text, narration and so on. Response to the trend of globalization, wemust start young, bearing their tradition of excellence, absorbing the essence ofcivilization all of world, and establish a strong culture with Chinese characteristics.
