The problem of happiness is important in philosophical ethics. Social development and progress of human being have in their every phase cited happiness as what needs to be pursued. In today’s society, along with the rapid development of scientific technology, the way that people live also has undergone huge changes, and the traditional ideas gradually be broken. Especially now, our country is in the key period of reform and opening up, society is going on the transformation hugely. People feel confused about the concept of happiness, the word happiness sometimes appears to be vain and pale. Today people are living in a society that satisfy them basic needs of material. People have ability to reconsider what is true happiness and to chase what kind of happiness. But it often lacks of direction and a kind of happiness, and that is the Marx’s view discussed in this paper. This paper includes introduction and three main components.The introduction describes the source of the topic, the objective and significance of this topic, the current state, the research of heavy, difficult and research methods.The first part mainly discusses the formation of Marx’s happiness. This part introduced the origin and the development of the thought of happiness in traditional philosophy. We also learned about the development track of the thought of happiness about Marx. By revealing the origin and the developing history of the thought of happiness of Marx, we learned about the focus in decipherment it. And this part briefly touched on the development trajectory of Marx’s happiness.The second part provided an overview of Marx’s happiness. This part explained the concept of happiness. Then it explained the main content of Marx’s happiness systematically, it including the human needs, the realistic living world, free and comprehensive development of humanity and the communist society.Then it discussed the essential features of Marx’s happiness, including the organic unity of the material and spiritual happiness, labor and enjoyment, the personal and social happiness.The third part discussed the essential features and the contemporary value of Marx’s happiness. The essential features of Marx’s happiness included the organic unity of the material and spiritual happiness, labor and enjoyment, the personal and social happiness. From two aspects of theoretical value and practical value, this part discussed the contemporary value of Marx’s happiness.
