Pingluziqing military governor was an important military governor in the later Tang Dynasty, which was evolved from Pinglu military governor founded during Kaiyuan period. In this article, the writer will try to discuss about the senior historians’shortage then solve them and research Pingluziqing’s predecessor, the condition of its foundation, the reasons and characteristics of its separatist warlord regime, and the situation after its separatist warlord regime. This paper consists of several parts as such following:In the first chapter, the author will research Pinglu military governor’s situation before the An-Shi Rebellion. With the purpose of adapting the changes in the northeast frontier, Pinglu military governor was found by Tang central government in the7th year of Kaiyuan period. With the support of patriotic army, Pinglu military governor was loyal to the centre government, and fight with the rebel army during the rebellion. But the long-term war destroyed the supplement, Pinglu military governor then fell into a crisis. As a helpless choice, Pinglu military governor had to move to the hodiernal Shandong area. And just this southward removal made Pinglu military governor then become Pingluziqing military governor.The third chapter is the key point of this paper. In this chapter, the writer will study the Pingluziqing military governor of its period of separatist warlord regime. The centre also took other measures to reinforce its control here, which made it a stable place before the Huang Chao Uprising. Huang Chao’s uprising did give this place a change to back to the separatist warlord regime, but didn’t give it enough power to remain itself in the following disordered later Tang period. At last, it was annexed by Zhuquanzhong, and became an auxiliary of Xuanwu military governor.
