Research On The Trade In Shanxi Of The Associations Case Of The Republican Period(1927-1949)

This article selects Xianyang,the northwest inland city in ShaanxiProvince as the research object, has certain representativeness. Through the research ofShaanxi (Xianyang centered)Trade Association’s organizational issues during theRepublic of China(1927~1949), to explore the relationship between the tradeassociation and the chamber of commerce of Shaanxi Province and the localgovernment, as well as how such organization assist the Government to strengthen therole of industry management, and to explore the reference that how trade organizationunder today’s market economy development period assist the development of modernbusiness organizations of Shaanxi.This article is mainly discusses through five chapters, the first chapter is mainly toclarify the traditional industrial and commercial trade organization and its characteristicfrom history, through the analysis of chamber of commerce organizations set up in thelate Qing Dynasty and the situation of the establishment of the trade associations,so thatpeople can have a clear understanding of the traditional industrial and commercial of theindustry organization’s development; Chapter II briefly introduces the TradeAssociation of Xianyang, through analyze the development of Shaanxi traditionalmerchant trade organization’s situation in modern times, it can be seen that the tradeassociation was born out of the traditional industry and commercialorganizations,further analysis Shaanxi chambers of commerce and the establishment oftrade association; Chapter III mainly introduces the institutional settings of Xianyang,Shaanxi Chamber of Commerce Association’s organizational operations, includingmembers of the association to join with the Council of staff of the Associationleadership’s election, funds management and staff of the tenure systems, etc.; ChapterIV discuss the management of Xianyang’s trade association, guild regulation plays animportant role in the management of trade association, guild regulation mainly relates tothe limiting of the interbank business qualifications and the management of theinterbank trading market; fifth chapter discuss on the relationship between the Xianyang Trade Association and Chamber of Commerce and the local governments, onthe legal status,the Trade Association and the Chamber of Commerce is equal, they alsohas subordinate affilate relations, trade association is also an important grassrootsorganizations of local government to control the society.
