China is an ancient civilization with over ifve thousand years of history. Inthe literature history of its glorious culture, Chinese poetry occupies an extremelyimportant position and is closely related to the music. Creators put the elegantpoetry into music for singing and left us a large number of unique and charmingChinese classical poetry songs.The article reviewed the development context of Chinese classical poetrysongs and divided them into four categories in accordance with the difference oftheir tune composition. Taking Buddhist Dancers and A Farewell Tune of YangGuan for example, it interpreted deeply into the manifestation of the Chineseclassical poetry songs according to their creation background and musiccomposition. The article clarified the performance difference of works throughthe analysis of singing practice. Basing on the research of the diversity of theworks, it proposed a spatiotemporal-crossing and ifeld-crossing method ofaesthetic approach which opened up a new perspective of the inheritance,development and innovation of the Chinese classical poetry songs.
