A Tentative Discussion On Embroidery-base Sculpture In The Modern Fiber Art

In recent decades, the modern fiber art, has got great achievements and become a neweffective modern art form in China. It absorbed and integrated the diverse artistic form.Meanwhile, it has the modern, experimental and advanced design concept. This particlestarts from the origin and conception of fiber art. Through the analysis ofreference and innovation of traditional art of Japan and South Korea, the application ofChinese traditional embroidery art of Chinese artists, continuation of the traditionalWestern knitting technology in modern fiber art, the whole partical discussed the themodern fiber arts’ fission and heritage to the traditional arts.This article discussed thedefinition of the term in embroidery-base sculpture, and combined with the embroideryas the main expression diploma project---------embroidered works <flower in bloom>,explored and practiced the traditional embroidery art in the modern fiber art form from theaspects of material quality, stitch, and skin texture.
