Taking the visual representation strategy adopted in the city image publicity film about Xilinhaote, Inner Mongolia as the research object, the unique and core pursuit of Xilinhaote was explored in the paper from the perspective of cities’brand construction by designing a brand-new image for the city and by positioning the brand image of the city in a differential way. Taking the Mongolia culture and the horse culture as the focus, with the unique and creative ideas and the novel forms of visual expression, the unique cultural connotation of the city was embodied in a better way, and its characteristics and temperament were expressed in a better fashion, in an attempt to extend the appeal of the publicity film and make it more amazing.
