Shi Tiesheng (1951--2010), an influential writer in modern China, has written a series of classic prose and novels. Looking through his personal experiences of sufferings and his unique writing style, we can claim that his life is in a continuous self transcendence, which mainly comes from his absorption of western resources. Consequently, it is very meaningful to read Shi Tiesheng and explore how he accepts the western materials and expressing styles.On the plight,Shi Tiesheng experiences the west end Fuchs Road and agrees with Camus’s Absurd Philosophy, his works often convey the coincidence and absurdity of life, at the same time express a kind of sad atmosphere. Then by Chaplin’s sense of humor, he eases the death consciousness, and turns to focus on the process of life; and finally ends up with Christian faith resources, which makes him start to appreciate the Job’s confidence and infuse his work with Christian thought. About love,Shi Tiesheng sets the hero as the protagonist of desire and depicts the love between the elders and regards sex as the language of love in the novel。This kind of writing is obviously influenced by "the unbearable lightness of being","love","sex, lies, videotape" text of inspiration; In the emotional experience, Shi Tiesheng formed resonance with Eliot later he expressed the covenant love call.His writing also learns from the Western art form. Shi Tiesheng often sets the symbolic characters. His works have unique polyphonic meaning and his language is dreamful. This form of creation and aesthetics originates from Robert Grillet, Borges, Kundla, Bakhtin et al. Rob Griyah inspired him to fulfill his symbolic roles set; Borges inspired him to show the idea. Bakhtin guided his skillful use of dialogue. Kundla exerts influence on him in the text structure and comprehensive style and so on. This influence forms the unique polyphonic works of Shi Tiesheng; In addition, his works that full of dreamful language are mainly related to the Rob Griyah and Borges.
