| The existence of each art type has a special historical background and realisticbasis, just like every nation has its special language and spiritual outlook. In the longhistory of world culture, under the nourishing and influence of western abstract ideology,the Chinese abstract painting express his aesthetic ideal with the help of externalcharacteristics of the abstract form. In the research process,this paper not only drawlessons from existed research results at home and abroad, but also concisely elaborate thedevelopment of Chinese abstract painting through the longitudinal and transversecomparison with the development of the western abstractionism. In the study, focusingon the evolution and development of abstract elements in art language of modernChinese painting shows the Chinese abstract paintings’ process of approval and spread inart development.The abstract art has been quietly and continuously developing as the main force inChinese modern art movement in the20th century. Although there are a lot ofcontroversies in abstract painting itself, which is both positive and negative, and whichalso led to the neglect and inaccuracy of the academic circles in the process of itsresearch. Otherwise, it is less possible to solve such a profound problem about imagerymodeling in modern meticulous paintings only by one paper or analysis of severalpaintings, and it requires a large number of artists to make unremitting efforts in theirpractice to find out its law and to open up new realms in order to make continuingprocess suitable to their own needs. This paper starts from the origin of the abstractelements by comparing Chinese abstract culture with western’s, combined with severalimportant abstract artists’ artistic practice, and analyzes the referenced part in thedevelopment history of Chinese modern and contemporary abstract art, and at the sametime of in-depth research, the distance between public and abstract painting can benarrowed. We also can produce better abstract works. |
