All the time, men are thought the strong in the social life, they are the maincontributions to the social and economic development, and heads of households. Inliterary,writers tend to describe men as someone who have great physical strengthand courage, valiant and heroic in bearing male mold. But in the modern male imagein Western and Chinese literature began to blur. They might be described asphysiological sexual incompetent or depicted as lack of masculinity. The change ofmale images in literature and on the male image of intentional castration of thissituation is not accidental, but has deep cultural roots.This paper aims to study on male castration phenomenon in modern western andChinese literature.
