The Function Of Watercolor Illustration In Children’s Book For Aesthetic Education

Children’s book show their message that want to be expressed to children byillustration and word. Because of the feature of children, word does not work, at thattime illustration will be the best way that book show their message to children.Watercolor is the best way for illustration which will show their message. Until nowthere are a lot of classic watercolor illustrations. Writer has studied and work forwatercolor and aesthetic education for several years. She thinks that painting is thesecond language for children, and it can show children’s emotion. Aesthetic education isimportant for children’s development, but tradition training does not work. Findingchildren’s favorite way and watercolor illustration will be the best ways for aestheticeducation. These ways can bring brainstorm to children. In the first part of this paper,we can know that why watercolor is the best way for illustration among watercolor, oilpainting and traditional Chinese painting. In this part we can know that children’sfeature in physiology and psychology. Due to those feature writer designs someexperiments for aesthetic education. In the last part of this paper, writer show her resultsof the experiments. These results prove writer’s point that watercolor illustration is agood and workable way for aesthetic education. In the experiments becausewatercolor’s feature is suitable for children’s feature, children show their kind towatercolor. Children’s interest in watercolor illustration and art characteristic ofwatercolor illustration is good for improve children’s appreciation of the beauty, abilityof making a comment and so on. So watercolor illustration plays an important part inchildren’s aesthetic education.
