| China frontier theory based on the world famous anthropologist Thomas J.Barfield as the research object, aiming at the Israeli Palestinian Field "mutual centertheory" as the angle of view, through the interpretation of Barfield "The PerusForntier:Nomadic Empires and China", tries to provide reference for the relatedresearch in frontier nomads in Northern and Central Plains dynasty. Barfield aims toChinese northern border typical, analysis between inland Asian nomadic regime andsettled civilization interaction model, interaction, interaction rules, to reveal somehistorical overview of inland Asia, and this study let us re understand Chinesenorthern frontier.Analysis of Barfield perspectives, this paper is divided into four sections toelaborate. The first part is elaborates the relationship between nomadic society and theCentral Plains, this section is divided into three small portions:Firstly, elaboratedstrategy of nomadic societies of Central Plains, mainly the nomadic society, externalborders strategies are described in detail; secondly, describes the nomadic strategy forCentral Plains, mainly from the Central Plains Dynasty tribute system, and policy, thenomadic power protector, seek military strike lift side threats four aspects, elaboratesthe Central Plains Dynasty strategy to nomadic; third the difference between theCentral Plains and the North Dynasty to nomadic society, Mainly from the politicaland military action, border policy describes two aspects of the family dynasty ofNorth and Central Plains to treat the difference between nomadic society. The secondpart is the analysis of the North Dynasty in the role of a unified multi-ethnic countryis formed in China, mainly in the two typical North Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty and QingDynasty as an example, from the rise of conditions, entered the Central Plains,consolidate power and status to analysis the North Dynasty in the role of a unifiedmulti-ethnic country is formed in China. The third part is to analysis the Chinese frontier theoretical ideas Perspective on Barfield " mutual center theory ",mainly fromthe nomadic people always could not be unified and not the purpose of the nomadicpeople entering the central plains to start analysis of rights to the nomadic regimeinternal tribal alliance, sharing ideas and mutual struggle, inheritance, politicalmanagement system, the Central Plains of purpose.The fourth part is the evaluation ofChinese frontier theory of Barfield, mainly from the contributions and limitations.This paper uses historical research methods,By combing and analysis Barfield’sChina frontier theoretical ideas, compared with tradition history in China, the authorthinks that Barfield with "mutual center theory" perspective observed China’s northernborder, is different from traditional historians of China, provides a new perspective toour understanding of the development process China northern frontier and nomadic.But for Barfield’s "alien dynasty" formulation, I think that does not accord with thehistorical fact, is wrong. At the same time denied that the nomads took over theCentral Plains of subjectivity,I think neglected the relations between accidental andinevitable, historical development is too one-sided, needs to be further improved. |
