Harry Potter was written by the British author J.K. Rowling, which is a children’s fantasy series. Ups and downs of the plot, gripping the suspense, unexpected twist and turns of the story and rich imagination, all of these surprised every reader. Since1997the Rowling’s Harry Potter series created, the global world opened a wave of craze about it. However, in the academic circle, this series of novels about classified debate never stop. Many scholars don’t want to get Rowling’s work belonged to the children’s literature. Although the author of the first reader positioning would be children, the reason is that some of its description is not suitable for children to watch. Initiation novel describes the initiation as the knowing process of the adolescent towards the outside world and adjusting self-identity and values, and also the process of adjusting the relationship between self and society. The person’s growth process, even in young period, was full of the disorder and complex. At this point, it was separated from the pure children’s literature obviously. Growth has universality and particularity, and throughout the whole of Harry Potter, in fact, the growth of each individual more or less appeared some adolescent syndrome. Therefore, this thesis will discuss it as the classics of the novel about the analysis of multi-initiation in this series works.This article from unique theme of Harry Potter series of novels analyzes traditional literacy’s inheritance and innovation of J.K. Rowling; excavate significance of Harry Potter Heat in the society and culture. According to the four features of initiation theme, discovery, adventure, love and cruelty, this thesis is divided into six parts. The first part, it gives the concise introduction of the biography of author J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter; The second part, it is a literature review about the origin, definition and feature of the initiation story and it talks about the traditional novel and the relationship between the writer’s experience and the initiation story; In the third part, it analyzes the frame of growth theme in each Harry Potter series of novels and displays the distribution, the inheritance and innovation places; The fourth and fifth part, it shows the classic scene and significance refining the diversity of growth topic which appeared in the seven novels; The sixth part mainly discusses the social and cultural significance of the initiation theme and its enlightenment and reflection to the society.
