| Shuo Yuan is a historical story collection compiled by Liu Xiang in the Western Han dynasty. Thepaper takes Shuo Yuan as a narrative novel, and explores it by western narratology to study its narrativestructure and narrative perspective. This thesis consists of five parts, namely an introduction, the firstchapter, Chapter II, Chapter III, and Conclusion.The introduction deals with the basic information of Shuo Yuan and the current research achievement,thus points out the significance of the paper.Chapter one is the sources and compile of Shuo Yuan. By studying the background, purpose, entries andcategories, explores its sources, and concludes its characteristics of false or true complement.Chapter two studies the narrative structure of Shuo Yuan. Despite the traditional structure, Shuo Yuandiversified in its framework from systematic view in narratology. First, explore the overall structure of thesequences of the material, which reveal its official historian thinking model. Then, explore its innerstructure with the key point of the life philosophy, which combines Confucianism, Tao and Fa. At last, byanalyzing its characteristics in composition, concludes its paralleling narrative structure, repetition narrativestructure and contrast narrative structure.Chapter three studies the narrative perspective of Shuo Yuan. The story material, Shuo Yuan in theemployed, is Liu Xiang as needed to select, adapt, and essays. After parts of a single real historical eventsso treated, in the Shuo Yuan, the narrative vector narrative viewpoint change is already part of the artisticevent occurred. This chapter from the narrative perspective, through the analysis of specific narrative text,pointing out, Shuo Yuan the fictionalized narrative event type is used more omniscient narrative perspectiveand theatrical narrative perspective. Omniscient style perspective and the use of dramatic perspective, butalso makes the Shuo Yuan presents some novel narrative beauty. |
