The research is an exploration of1124titles’ of Chinese military themes film andtelevision works which released from2000to2013from the perspective of theRelevance-Adaptation Theory. This thesis is to explore the language strategies ofmilitary themes film and television works’ naming pattern; revealing the name giverscreative psychology and the audience’s reception psychology; analyzing the militarythemes film and television works’ naming of the Cultural Relevance-Adaptationfrom the synchronic and diachronic plane. The research is combining statisticalanalysis and questionnaire survey, confirmed the feasibility and science of examiningChinese military themes film and television works’ names from the perspective of theRelevance-Adaptation Theory. The aim of the study is to provide a new direction formilitary themes film and television works’ naming pattern:Voice on the musicallanguage strategy smooth, syllable symmetry, the level and oblique tones, tie-inappropriate and coordination; Structure, simple sense, conform to the film andtelevision play their own temperament; Comply with the implicit tactfully, userhetorical strategy; Psychological association viewing audience psychology, satisfythe audience psychological needs; Cultural adaptation national cultural ideology, type,era background. This thesis consists of six chapters:The first chapter presents the theoretical underpinnings of the Relevance-Adaptation Model; define the classes for Chinese military themes film and televisionworks, and introduces the traditions and basic conceptions of Chinese naming, andsummarizes the titles of drama’s pragmatic effect.The second chapter explores the language strategies of military themes film andtelevision works’ naming pattern from the pronunciation, grammar, semantics,rhetoric Angles. Through the forms that statistical analysis of the collected1124titlesleads us to the conclusion that the proper syllable number is2-7, concise, powerfuland stylepersuasive titles are needed.Third chapter views from producers and audiences’ naming psychology andaccepting psychology. The study is the psychological theoretical basis for hereafternaming.In the fourth chapter the author from the perspective of synchronic analysis thesame China and Britain and the United States different naming characteristics;Cultural adaptation in the process of translation; Compared to "romantic drama","themilitary drama","family drama","historical play","rural drama" and "martial artsdrama" characteristics of several types of naming. From the perspective of diachroniccharacteristics in different periods of the same subject named were discussed. In orderto guide the people at the time of the film and television play named associatedcultural factors.The fifth chapter, statistical analysis of questionnaire, through to the audience survey evidence title on the importance of military themes TV dramas, and analyzethe "The Message","Qiu Xi ","The Espionage Battle of YangCheng" three titles’link of adaptation model. Whatsmore we analysis to follow and in violation of thenaming strategy of Relevance-Adaptation will get different communicative effect.In the sixth chapter, the author analysis the current military themes TV dramasnamed shortcomings, such as excessive exaggerated, summarize the film andtelevision play named aesthetic criterion and policies.
