English reading is one of the most important language skills when we learnEnglish, with the popularization of computer and the development of Internettechnology, digital reading English gradually become a new form of English reading.Annotating is an effective means of recording the process of learning and thinking, asa result, digitally annotated English reading refers to that learners effectively useelectronic notation tools in the process of digital English reading, which can prevent"superficial reading", and make learners profound thinking and exploration, thenenhance the quality of reading comprehension and memory effects.This paper studied the domestic and foreign related theory about digitallyannotated English reading, and the studies have shown that annotated English readingis an effective way of English reading. In order to further investigate the efficiency ofthis way of reading and provide practice guidance, investigation of the currentsituation of the use of annotated English reading of graduate student, the analysisfound that most learners will make notation in the process of digital reading English,but the content and forms of notation is unitary; the major obstacle of digitalannotated English reading of learners is the unskilled use of annotation tools. Then,from self-efficacy and reading anxiety and reading motivation, etc, analyze thedifferences of digitally annotated English reading of different sex and different levelsof English learners. Aimed at the results of status quo analysis and differencesanalysis, put forward the application framework and strategy of annotated Englishreading.The paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter One: Introduction. Put forward the questions, significance, designand methods of this study on the basis of research background.Chapter Two: Literature review and theoretical basis. Surrounding theresearch questions, this chapter analyzes and reviews relevant researches of theexisted annotated reading and digital reading, and reveals the theoretical basis ofannotated reading from the aspect of constructivism theory, humanism theory andaccepted aesthetics theory, etc. Chapter Three: Definition, classification and tools of annotated reading.Through theoretical analysis of relevant research, elaborate the definition,classification, significance and tools of annotated reading.Chapter Four: Investigation of digitally annotated English reading. Use thegraduate students as the research objects to questionnaire and interview them. Andanalyze the application situation and the reasons of annotated English readingChapter Five: Strategies for applying digitally annotated English reading.Based on foregoing theory and analysis of investigation, designs the applicationframework of annotated English reading, and put forward the applying strategies fromthree areas of researchers, teachers and learners. In order to provide methodologicalguidance for digitally annotated English reading.Chapter Six: Conclusions. Summarize the achievements of the research, andpoint out the research prospects.
