Aspect is an extremely important and special category in modern Chinese, and also the difficulty in Chinese teaching.Therefore, this paper focuses on the common structures "zheng/zai/zhengzai X zhe" of progressive aspect. Formally, these structures are made by the time adverbs "zheng/zai/zhengzai" and the temporal maker "zhe".From the functional point of view,they are used to modify the verb as an adverb and to express progressive aspect.So we call them "adverbial frame construction of progressive aspect".Since the frame construction has its particularity in the form and meaning but not simply the sum of its components, this paper explores the attributes from semantic and syntactic,and then analyse the acqusition of foreign students and teaching materials in Chinese teaching. Finally, the paper proposes some teaching suggestions and makes the research forecast.There are6chapters as below:Chapter1is the introduction of the object of study, the significance of the research, the related theories, review study on this problem, the approach of analyzing and the origin of corpus.In Chapter2, the concept of" adverbial frame construction of progressive aspect" will be defined firstly and then analyse time adverbs "zheng/zai/zhengzai" and the temporal maker "zhe", as the two components of the frame construction,from semantic and syntactic, so as to lay the foundation for the study of frame constructions "zheng/zai/zhengzai X zhe".The third and fourth chapters respectively, from the semantic and syntactic aspects, explore the features of frame constructions "zheng/zai/zhengzai X zhe" and compare the differences with time adverbs "zheng/zai/zhengzai" and the temporal maker "zhe".We found that the relations between "zheng/zai/zhengzai" and "zhe" are neither alternative nor a simple sum of two components, but interact on each other. In addition, we also compare the semantic and syntactic differences of "zheng X zhe","zai X zhe" and "zhengzai X zhe" and found these three frame constructions have their regularity and complementary in semantic and syntactic.Chapter5is teaching and learning study of adverbial frame construction of progressive aspect. There are three parts:the first part is acquisition survey of frame constructions "zheng/zai/zhengzai X zhe"; the second part is analysis of "zheng/zai/zhengzai" and "zhe" in "Boya Chinese" and "New practical Chinese Reader; the third part is teaching suggestions of frame constructions "zheng/zai/zhengzai X zhe".Chapter6is the conclusion of the dissertation, summarizes the main points of the thesis and points out some inadequacies and some problems required further investigation.
