A Study On Priority Sequences Of Time Adverbs"Zheng"、"Zhengzai"、"Zai"

The thesis is about priority sequences of time adverbs "zheng"、"zhengzai"、"zai".The priority sequence is a quantitative analysis establish on the basis of statistical data, and give the language phenomenon a full description and observation to make a reasonable explanation of the priority sequence.This thesis consists of five chapters:In chapter one, observe and describe the service conditions of "zheng"、"zhengzai ’、"zai", and find the priority sequence.Count and analyze the entire corpus without distinguish the language circumstances, and discover the use frequency of "zai" is the highest, the priority sequence (">" means" to be prior") is "zai> zheng> zhengzai".In chapter two, observe and describe the service conditions of "zheng"、"zhengzai"、"zai" in the different styles and find the priority sequence. The corpus is divided into five parts,they are oral style, scientific style, artistic style, political style and work style. Observe the service conditions of "zheng"、"zhengzai"、"zai" in the different styles and find the use frequency of "zai" in the oral style, literary style, scientific style is the highest,the priority sequence is "zai> zheng> zhengzai".The use frequency of "zhengzai "is highest in political comment style, and the three time adverbs almost does not appear in work style.In chapter three, discuss the coexistence situation of "zheng"、"zhengzai"、"zai"with "zhe"、"ne" and find the priority sequence.Observe and describe the coexistence situation,count and analyze the corpus, the study shows that "zheng" is the most likely coexistence with "zhe""ne",the priority sequence is "zheng>zai>zhengzai"In chapter four, discuss the verb and verb phrases followed "zheng’、"zhengzai""zai" and find the priority sequence. Describe the combination of "zheng"、"zhengzai""zai" with the different verbs and verb phrases, find the combination tendency and show them by specific data. The study show that "zheng"、"zhengzai"、"zai" are mostly group with activity verb and accomplishment verb, almost not group with state verb and achievement verb, and mostly group with Verb-object phrase and adverbial-head structure, almost not group with subjective-object phrases.Chaper five is the conclusion and problem in this paper. The study show the biggest difference between "zheng"、"zai" and "zhengzai " is the stylistic differences, and the biggest difference between "zheng" and "zai"、"zhengzai" is the difference in self-contained,the clause which contains "zheng" is not self-sufficient.
