Study On The Influence Of Network Structural Embeddedness To Performance Of Changsha Film And Television Corporate

The cultural and creative industry has been hot since entering the21stcentury.And Changsha film and television industry is high-profile.Research showsthat the film and television industry has obvious characteristic of networkorganization which is project-oriented.This article attempts to analyze the networkstructure,the position of enterprise in network and their impact on corporate behaviorsof Changsha film and television industry from the perspective of structuralembeddedness,so as to dig the deeply successful reasons of Changsha film andtelevision industry.First of all, this article combs and reviews the related theories about impact ofstructural embeddedness on enterprise performance, analyses the characteristics of thefilm and television industry, and on the basis of which, puts forward two basicassumptions.Then, in this paper, the basic current situation of the development andthe industry characteristics of Changsha film and television industry are discussedand analyzed.In the following, based on the105TV drama samples during the periodof2004-2012, the business cooperation information data of whose ends can generaterelationship network data of the film and television corporations, this article gets theindex value of structural holes and centrality of all related film and televisionenterprises through UCINET6.0, and then deeply analyzes these two index value andtheir dynamic changes. Finally, this article measures the influence of structuralembeddedness on film and television enterprise performance through correlationanalysis, regression analysis and other methods, and tests the above twoassumptions.Study shows that: First, there is more openness and more outside contactin the network of Changsha film and television industry. Local enterprises mainlyfocus on investment, presents and production, less involved in post-production,special effects and network promotion, which are mainly distributed in Beijing andother places. Second, in the network, the enterprises with the largest number ofstructural holes mainly include:Hunan DianGuang media Co., LTD. programs branch,Xiaoxiang film group, Sina entertainment;The main institutions with highest positionof centrality are: Hunan radio and television station, Hunan DianGuang media Co.,LTD. programs branch, Hunan satellite TV. The above enterprises are mostly affiliatedto Golden Eagle Broadcasting System, and they occupy an important position in the industry network.Third, regression analysis shows that the influence results ofstructural holes and centrality on film and television enterprise performance arepositive.That is, the more structural holes the enterprise has, the better performance ithas; The higher position of centrality the enterprise occupies, the better performanceit will get.
