Research On The Diversified Music Manifestation Of The Sun Snow And Singing Experience Of Bai Xuemei’s Main Arias

To celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the People’s Republic of China in2009, the PL A General Political Department Opera Troupe selected the novelWait for You in the Heaven of the military writer Qiu Shanshan to compose alarge-scale opera named The Sun Snow, which is written by Feng Baiming, FengBilie and composed by Zhang Qianyi. In order to meet the needs of the modernaudience closely, the opera innovated bravely in many ways.The article took the diversiifed music manifestation and two arias of theheroine Bai Xuemei as the research subject and analyzed the diversity of itsmusic element, singing style and tone colour. The opera absorbed multi-ethnictones as its music elements, retained the style of Han culture, combined with theZang culture and embellished with the western Chant tune. It used different stylesof the popular singing, belcanto, national singing and natural singingcomprehensively, and place them in the same status. It also made a boldcombination of different timbres with different singing style according to thevariation of the characters and development of the story plots.Actually, The Sun Snow had made a bold and useful attempt in theinheritance and innovation of art and provided a new reference for the futurecomposition of opera in China.
