Sergei-Vassilievitch-Rachmaninoff (1873-1873), the great the pianist、composer and conductor of Russian romantic music in the late19th century.He has written83art songs,which all can be referred to the masterpieces of the European atr songs. In the piano part of Rachmaninoff’s art songs,he explored thoroughly in the expressive force of the instrument to the music,unprecedentedly escalated piano’s satatus,and made vocal and piano melody each played an important role in the music,the piano part even can be seen as an independent opus in some of his art songs.Thus it can be seen the research of the piano part in his works is of great value.This article will select Rachmaninoff’s late Op.38art songs for deep analyzing his music features,the cooperation of the piano melody and vocal sound,and skills of the interpretation of the piano part,which will make Rachmaninoff’s piano composition characteristics present in the piano part of his art song.The specialties will be elaborated thoroughly,such as the luxuriant piano texture which help him accurately and vividly mold different music images,the varied use of harmony which give prominence to the histrionic of the music,the balance of tempo,power,and timbre in the performing,and also the precise hadling method in the piano part.I hope this study will premote the creation of the Chinese art songs,especially the piano part,and also hope to provide some reference to the art director’s specific practice and the research of the European rat song.
