Empson "Ambiguity" theory in the research field of classical Chinese poetry isSinologists to Empson "Ambiguity" theory of reference, together with Chinese andWestern Poetics System literary ideas, text imagery understanding, and ultimately withthe current theoretical exposition and criticism of the text. Translation and applicationof the theory once collate and summarize the ways you can better understand theconcept of two-way elucidation of Chinese and Western Poetics and communication,and to help explore a common ground.This study tries to conduct a systematic analysis.The first chapter is the introduction, the main object of study to explain the paper’ssignificance, current research, and ask questions. This section focuses on the analysisEmpson "Ambiguity" theory and the theory of the formation process in China inconjunction with the study of classical Chinese poetry, and to overview the situation of"Ambiguity" theory’s practice.The second chapter, try to answer the question, that is, what Empson "Ambiguity"theory in the context of Classical Chinese Poetry be. This chapter focuses on"re-defined" the theory for translating in China, and attempting to show "Ambiguity"theory in China how to change when the theory presented in the course of a specificstate. I will attempt to answer such a question, that is, in the research field of classicalChinese when they use the "Ambiguity" theory the researcher how to choose theirtheoretical positions.The third chapter, the question is "how".How did the theory be accepted in thefield of Chinese studies classical poetry. Although the mainland and Hong Kong andTaiwan has been separated for several decades, it is still the same root, belong to theChinese Context. Under this premise, the chapter attempts to discuss geographical units’scholar who criticized the practice. At last,this debate was worldwide.The debate is conductedto thinking about the issues including "Ambiguity", including the "The New Criticism"theory in the field of classical poetry study, and to expand "re-defined " theory.The fourth chapter, answer the question "why". It is a detailed analysis of classicalChinese poetry study in the application of Empson "Ambiguity" theory, and attempt topropose solutions. When modern Chinese researcher in the application of research usingthe Western theory interpretation often been asked," is it valuable at present?" To solvethis problem, the first thing we want to return to research in this field of traditionalcontext, it should also be recognized that the traditional Chinese literature there is alogical analytical methods, such as congenital deficiencies of the lack of need with thenew criticism of Western culture analysis on the unique strengths to compensate.The fifth chapter summarizes the study of classical Chinese poetry using"Ambiguity" theory. Western Literary has different ecological and aestheticmanifestations in Sinology studies. The critical issue is, in this chaos among literarystudy exactly how to get the transformation and breakthrough. To solve this problem,dissemination and application of "re-defined " and other new critical theory researchersshould actively into the inspirer who gives meaning to the theory and text as a startingpoint, to show openness and richness of literature constantly efforts.
