Ethics Consideration Of The Nervousness Of Doctor And Patient’s Relationship

Doctor-patient relationship is an important relationship in humansociety, which has its own special character. In all ages, the relationshipbetween doctor-patient is not fixed, which has some different phases. Inancient China, because of the concept of value loyalty over money, it hadno interest conflict between the doctor and patient. They had a very pureand harmonious relationship. After the People’s Republic of Chinaestablished and before medical care system reformed, governmentsupported hospital’s financial resources. In this period, the relationshipbetween doctor and patient was still harmonious. With the growth ofproductivity, the promotion of people’s material and spirit life, peoplerequires a better quality of medical service, and has stronger sense ofsafeguard legal rights, which leads to more and more medical dispute.Specially, after the medical system reformed, The doctor and patient’svirtue is weaken, society’s sincerity is lost, the doctor’s professionalethics is perished and some patients’ morality is lower, which leads todoctor-patient relationship has becoming very nervous, and fell into astrait of ethics. The nervous relationship between doctor and patient playsa very bad effect on social morality. It had threatened the gooddevelopment of our social finance. To some extent, the tensive status of the relationship between doctor and patient has a negative effect on ourhealth protection and harmonious socialist society. Based on the ethicsviewing, this essay analyzes the reason, appearance and strait of thenervousness of doctor-patient relationship and the development of ourdoctor-patient relationship, comparing to China and west countries’traditional principle and spirit of harmonious relationship between doctorand patient, and promoting to inherit the good theory of traditionalmedical ethics. This essay researches the relationship of doctor andpatient from the view of ethics and analyzes from the virtue of doctor,social morality of patient and construction of government’s systemicethics, and talks about how to establish the harmonious relationship ofdoctor and patient.
