Identity theory involves two major areas of sociology and psychology. In the study ofWang Meng’s fictional identity, the society and ego constitute research keywords. InWang Meng’s novel, the development and change of character identity is theinteraction between the effect of political rights discourse and the power ofself-reflection. Use of sociology and psychology of identity concepts to interpret thecharacters in the Novels, is the interpretation of the positioning political era in whichthe character of the characters identity environment, as well as fictional own innerthoughts and identity. This paper draws on the main theories of Western sociologyidentity theory, the United States George H Mead about the mind, the theory ofego and society, Stryker identity, ego and social identity theory.The main study include a total of three major components, namely the identity of themain types of the characters in Wang Meng’s fiction, the character’s identity processof Wang Meng’s fiction, Wang Meng’s identity and sense of identity. The firstchapter,the identity of the main types of the characters in Wang Meng’s fiction isclassified according to Wang Meng’s fictional division of the identity of this theory,with emphasis on their interpretation of the Novels; The second chapter, thecharacter’s identity process of Wang Meng’s fiction focuses on the theoretical thinkingin sociology and psychology, social, ego-starting two factors for theoretical textstructures are constructed. It details the social, ego-how from two factors are reflectedin the characters in the novel, and how these two factors in the process of realizationof identity in the Novels texts were displayed, and finally addressed the identityanother situation that fails identity and explain this situation to the meaning of theinterpretation of the identity of Wang Meng ’s fiction; The third chapter,WangMeng’s identity and sense of identity is the return of the identity theory, namely tofind the strength of this identity theory reflected in the text is the force of Wang Meng.It also attempts to explore in this part the Wang Meng’s identity and sense of identity for the the impact of Wang Meng’s entire literature.Identity study is a key to open the mysterious door of Wang Meng’s fictions andWang Meng himego. Studying from the prospective of identity, Wang Meng’sfictions and Wang Meng himego get explored. In the fictions, each and every type ofcharacter identity, development and change of their character identity, the process oftheir identity forming, and the supportive and opposite relationships between societyand ego which are the two factors affecting the identity forming explore theconnotation of Wang Meng’s fictions which are different from other political fictions,and its political features differing from ordinary fictions. Life experiences and identityconsciousness are also explored to show Wang Meng beyond these fictions.And therefore, this paper tries to combine the Western sociology identity theory withWang Meng’s fictions. Directed by the identity theory, and based on the interpretationof fictions themselves, it is an exploration and reflection on the special meaning ofWang Meng in the modern and contemporary Chinese literature. This paper also triesto strike a balance between the western theory and the fictions themselves to seektheir interactions, which is a new study method more and more widely used in thecurrent academic world. This method brings freshness to the study of Wang, and itprovides a new idea for study of Wang Meng’s fictions and Wang Meng himego.
