Ge Liang’s Literature Creation Of Narrative Inquisition In The City

Ge Liang, as rapidly rising literary star, was known to everyone by his series ofnovels centered in Nanjing and the creation of deep feelings of Nanjing. His unusualworks featured let numerous city narratives academics and critics began to payattention to him. In Ge Liang’s novel, Nanjing is the center of city narration. And inGe Liang’s novel, Nanjing was expressed both historical and modern, uniquely. Inaddition, as the center of the city of Nanjing narrative works, Ge Liang on the onehand trying to reproduce Nanjing glorious history on paper, and Ge Liang also hopethat to slow the speed of modern industrialized Nanjing through pen and paper. Hisworks explore the alienation of human life in the city, concerns the fate of theindustrialized city. It is different from the other city narrations. And this is also one ofthe unique nature of Ge Liang urban narratives.This paper uses text reading method, to discuss and analyse the city narrativefeatures of literary works. In this paper, the first task is to grasp the typical cityimages of Nanjing in Ge Liang’s novel, to deeply analyse the relationship between GeLiang and Nanjing, and to probe the way how Ge Liang can get in the city to explorethe narrative of the "urban experience". The second task is to explore the reason forthe outstanding of Ge Liang,by the reference to the narrative text, espically to analysethe narrative creation. Finally, this paper is to analyse the strategy to construct in citynarrative, to discuss the interaction relationship between Ge Liang and the citynarrative, for the purpose of the explanation of the unique gist in Ge Liang’s novel.
