Reasearch On The Aesthetic Ability Training In The Ballroom Dancing As A General Course

Contemporary college students is full of youthful spirit， deeply loves the life， lively andcheerful， confident and enthusiastic. They have keen awareness and strong aesthetic feelingsto the living environment. Consequently， they always take a positive way to use and createpossible conditions for meeting the needs of its own aesthetic. However， has the heart ofbeauty is not equal to have the aesthetic cultivation， and does not means have made a verygood aesthetic ability. Educating college students set up the correct aesthetic concepts，improving their aesthetic ability， inspiring their love and pursuit of beauty， is conducive toshape their healthy personality and the comprehensive and harmonious development.Ballroom Dancing has become one of the most popular courses in colleges anduniversities. More and more college students accept and love ballroom dancing， and activelyinvolved in the study in the common course. Ballroom dancing， as the common course inuniversities， brings a lot of beneficial effects for the students， for example to improve thestudents’ paralleled development of physical and mental health， to improve the overallpersonal quality. In the meanwhile， it could be found that the ballroom dancing as thecommon course is an effective method for educating students’ aesthetic ability. However， theresearch regarding the ballroom dancing as common course to improve the aesthetic ability isstill lacking in China. This dissertation aims to make a preliminary exploration in the field ofthis research and teaching practice.In this dissertation， the research methods of documentary， expert interview，questionnaire survey， mathematical statistics method and observation method are employedto analyze the status of using ballroom dancing to improve the students’ aesthetic ability. Itfound out the problems in the current college students’ aesthetic ability: aesthetic ideas are toopersonalized， aesthetic tastes are convergent， aesthetic behaviors are kind of vulgar. Duringthe research， this dissertation also concluded the main content of the aesthetic abilityeducation， analyzed the relationship between the ballroom dancing and the aesthetic ability，which include the relationship of ballroom dancing and the music， ballroom dancing and the costume， ballroom dancing and the appearance， ballroom dancing and the dancing styles，and the relationship of ballroom dancing and the dancing movements. Based on the abovementioned research and analyses， this dissertation concluded and suggested some methodsregarding the aesthetic ability education by using ballroom dancing as a common course inuniversities， including the innovation of teaching methods which request the beauty frombeginning to the end throughout， widen the channel of the aesthetic， put multiple aestheticvalue in the teaching， etc.
