Sun Kuang is an important critic of Ming dynasty, especially, made great contribution to thepunctuation and annotation of ancient prose. Zuo Zhuan, as a model of ancient prose, become the object ofall previous dynasties home as restoring ancient ways. Sun Kuang’s punctuation and annotation of ZuoZhuan, the workshop is important representative work in the development period of punctuation andannotation of Zuo Zhuan, is also Sun Kuang later punctuation and annotation masterpiece, condensed thesun many important literary thought, indicated the literary aesthetic orientation. So far, however, SunKuang’s punctuation and annotation of Zuo Zhuan, did not cause the attention of the researchers. Therefore,this article research in the development of the vision for Sun Kuang’s punctuation and annotation of ZuoZhuan, to explore its annotation value and significance in the history of thoughts. This paper includes sevenparts:The introduction mainly outlines the related problems: the Sun Kuang and its punctuation andannotation of Zuo Zhuan. First, it introduces the Sun Kuang and the time he lived. Second, Sun Kuang’spunctuation and annotation works are sorted and its characteristics are summarized. Third, it is introducedthe Sun Kuang punctuation and annotation of Zuo Zhuan and the component part of the Wu Xing Min’sprinted in red and black. Research on the literature way and keywords, reveal that Sun Kuangadvocates ancient style, method of ancient literature, has a historical perspective of trace to source, and thespirit of skeptical and innovation.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the significance of the study on Sun Kuang’s punctuation andannotation of Zuo Zhuan. it is the significance in the annotation value and the history of thoughts.
