The Tang Poetry Anthology flourished in Qing Dynasty, and its development in quantity surpassed allthe previous dynasties. Research on the Tang Poetry Anthology in Qing Dynasty is of great value andsignificance to the comprehensive and deep exploration of the contribution of Qing Poetics in the aspect oftheoretical criticism.Quan Tang Shi Lu was written by Xu Zhuo living in the years of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty. It has a totalof100volumes, collecting9634poems written by451poets.It was completed in1706, the fourty-fifth yearof Kngxi, one year earlier than the written of the roal set Complete Tang Poems. kangxi offered itsexpenditure and wrote the preamble himself. In style, to make it easy to check, it disseminates the ancientand modern parts and attaches the couplets with poets, which breaks the classical order of other collections.A biographical sketch is attached to each poet, together with the comments and review of their poems.Quan Tang Shi Lu not only explores and promotes the value and status of middle-late age Tang poetry, butchanges the single situation that the flourishing Tang Dynasty style is at the head of poetry. Its exhibition oforgthodoxy and appreciation of different style of the Tang poetry, greatly enriches people’s understandingof Tang poetry. However, it is a great regret that such a Tang poetry anthology has not caused enoughattention of academic community.Basing on the study of Quan Tang Shi Lu written by Xu Zhuo in the years of Kngxi, this paper makesa comprehensive research of Xu Zhuo’s life experience, the compiling, poem selecting features and poeticconception of the book together with its status and impact in the future, aiming to reveal its value andsignificance in the process of the development of poetics in Qing Dynasty.The paper consists of chapters of introduction, text and conclusion.The introduction part is the prelude of the whole paper, which focuses on the main background of thepaper and the necessary instructions of current related research.Chapter one is about the compiling of Quan Tang Shi Lu. To achieve a deeper understanding of thespecific process of formationof Quan Tang Shi Lu, a detailed research is made on the life experience, friends and poetry of Xu Zhuo, together with the background, purpose, style, documentarym of Quan TangShi Lu.Chapters two is about the respective volume classification statistics and statistics by installments ofthe poets and poems collected in Quan Tang Shi Lu. A further study is made on the basis of this about thebasic features of Quan Tang Shi Lu, which provides real reference to further research. This method ofquantitative statistics can more intuitively explain Xu Zhuo’s standard and tendency of poetry sellection.Chapter three is about the poem selection features of Quan Tang Shi Lu. In terms of selecting poems, itemphasizes seven-character octave; in terms of selecting poets, it pays attention to the poets of middle-lateage in Tang Dynasty; in terms of poetry criticism, it lays emphasis on the style discrimination in poetry.The fourth chapter summarizes the poetic conceptions embodied in Quan Tang Shi Lu. It points out theorthodox view of poetics that selection is based on poetry teaching and “elegance”. The book has theartistic features of focusing on “love” and “volunteers”.Conclusion part is the summary of the full paper, in order to reveal the status and influence of QuanTang Shi Lu in the poetics of Qing Dynasty.
