| The present thesis for MTI degree is composed of two parts. The first part is the translation of Yishu’s representative work, The Stories of Rose, from Chinese to English. The second part is an analysis of the translation of the first part in terms of interpersonal meaning, which consists of two sections. The story in the excerpts of The Stories of Rose is developed by dialogues, thus making the interpersonal meaning more important in translation. I have to fulfill not only the intercourse among characters in the novel but also the intercourse between the author and the target readers. In the second part, I elaborate the changes between the original text and the translated text in terms of appellation, words and sentences. |
