Literary classics are a hot topic of academic discussion. There are two types of discussion, which are literary essence and literary construction. They view literary classics from different angles. Literary essence insists that literary classics carry the ultra-utilitarian aesthetic connotation and a lot of interpretation space. However, literary construction insists that literary classics are a kind of cultural capital, which is constructed in the society. Some people try to give an accommodative explanation. This paper tries to view literary classics from more angles and make a deeper understanding in a more accommodative way. Literary essence and literary construction have deep contradictions on aesthetic ideas. So we should find linear common grounds to unify them. Literary language and literary tradition are the two linear common grounds. Literary essence takes literary language as a criterion and literary construction takes it as the base of cultural capital. The two views of language are complementary. First, literary language affects the rendering forms of literary classics, and literary classics are the perfect application of literary language. Second, literary language plays an intermediary role. Literary language enters the society to be the base of literary capital by its ideology. In terms of literary tradition, literary essence pays close attention to the internal performance, and literary construction emphasizes its effect on the historical construction. It is necessary to combine them to completely achieve the artistic value of literary classics. We can also explore the form of literary classics specifically in the field of school education.
