Cultural Consciousness And China Cultural Security

Culture is the ideological banner of a nation, but also is the spiritual link to maintain acountry. It also plays a key role in the development country. The advanced culture is animportant part to improve the country’s comprehensive national strength, safeguard nationalsecurity and national unity and stability. In twenty-first Century, with the accelerating pace ofglobalization, increasing external exchanges and cooperation, the problem of cultural securityhas come up. Our cultural security is facing severe threats and challenges because of theinvasion and infiltration a large number of foreign culture. Our cultural security is notoptimistic. Facing these problems, more and more scholars, exporters and governmentdepartments pay great attention on them. The party’s sixth plenary of seventeen session“Decision” points out that to cultivate high level of cultural consciousness and culturalsecurity, and stresses that cultural security is safeguarded through cultivating culturalconsciousness and improving cultural confidence, and culture is developed and flourishedgreatly through carrying forward excellent traditional culture and developing culturalindustry.This paper concludes three parts:The first part is the overview of cultural consciousness and cultural security. Culturalconsciousness and cultural security are briefly expounded and analyzed. The connection ofcultural consciousness and cultural security is also explained.The second part is the challenge of Chinese cultural security facing. Taking account ofthe domestic factors affecting cultural security, through economy, science, society, thesituation and shortcomings of Chinese cultural security are analyzed. And the threats andchallenges of cultural security are pointed out through the perspective of influence of foreignculture on cultural security. The situation of cultural security is discussed through bothdomestic factors and foreign factors.The third part is the cultivation of cultural consciousness and safeguard of culturalsecurity. In this part this paper expounds that cultivating cultural consciousness has animportant role in cultural security from the view of cultural consciousness to cultural security.According to the challenges of Chinese cultural security facing, through seeking actively thecountermeasures of safeguarding cultural security, keeping the innovation of culture and perfecting further the development strategies of Chinese culture, China becomes a powerfulsocialist culture country.
