He is the first man who removed the outmoded styled of late Tang Dynastyand created a grand style of Song Dynasty. During this process, Mei Yaochen overcorrected,and part of his poems is too popular, which is the main reason why he was criticized.Chapter two is about the literary world leaders and celebrity of Song Dynasty and howto evaluate Mei Yaochen and the reasons. Ou Yangxiu is the earliest one who gave MeiYaochen’s poetry a comprehensive evaluation, his attitude is fully appreciated. As the leaderof Song literary world, his evaluation and interpretation plays an important role on thespreading of Mei Yaochen’s poems.
