Liu Dehai is a world famous contemporary pipa performer and educator and acomposer. The “Religion Chapter”(including “di shui guan yin”,“xi qing luo han”,“wanxia qing qu”, and “bai ma tuo jing”) composed between1995and1998by Liu Dehai.This work is chapter Liu Dehai series works of a more mature stage. Embodies the LiuDehai eclectic innovative thinking concept and spiritual pursuit of inner beauty.The author consult a large number of literature material and the audio and video data,and in combination with the practice of his playing experience to Liu Dehai “ReligionChapter” four pieces of music characteristic are analyzed in detail. At last, by comparingwith the buddhist music to summarize the commonness of religious music. Through theresearch and analysis of this issue, Pipa players can improve the theoretical knowledgeto work. In terms of playing practice techniques using more handy.The article includes introduction, body and conclusion three parts. The text isdivided into five chapters.First of all, the author discusses the source of the topic, research purpose andmeaning. For Liu Dehai at home and abroad are summarized the current research statusof “Religion Chapter”, and put forward the focus of the research and the target, theinnovation points and research methods. In the Second, the pipa art development inChina were summarized and Liu Dehai pipa art.
