At tang song and ming dynasties,exchanges between China and Arabia are close.The bothsides carried out political,diplomatic,cultural,scientific and religious exchanges mainly througheconomic and trade,and had an important effect on each other.Oman is an important trade areaand port at the Arabic area in the medieval centrury,and the interaction between ancient omanand china dynasties started very early and exchanged frequently.Exchanges between the twocountries involved in all aspects of human civilization.Although related documents exchangesbetween the two countries is too little and fragmentary in history,but if we collected andunearthed fully,we could draw the outline of the exchanges between China and Oman in themedieval period.the paper mainly make the economic and trade as the main line,seriescommunicationcontents of the political,diplomatic,cultural,science and religion.Especially in thefirst chapter,I want to research the name of Oman place which appear in the Chinese literatureincomprehensive and deeply,and rationalize the evolution and changes of the name of Oman.Thethird chapter focuses on the intermediary role played by Oman in the China intercourse with theother countries or regions.
